getEntity and getEntityManager are deprecated

Can you point me in the direction where they are deprecated? |

Updated a reference to use the Common lib's LifecycleEventArgs, as i believe thats the standard now. |

This PR was squashed before being merged into the 2.8 branch (closes #10228).
