Plans about German translations?

I am just curious if there have been thoughts about translating The Book into German. The only thread google outputted was this one, which seems to be outdated at all.

I'm not aware of any plans.

However, maintaining such a translation turns out to be a very hard task. I recommend you to get some other people join in the group of german translators.

Well, you should contact the guys who started to work on the German doc to see what there plan is. The issue tracker of this repo is not about managing translations (each translation repo has its issue tracker, and the discussion about translations goes on the Google group

As Symfony has so many contributions for the docs, I would highly recommend against starting a new translation. I receive quite a few emails about outdated docs in French and frankly I don't see how maintaining a translation of the Symfony docs would be sustainable.
