Hello @fpistm, I was thinking to add a new variant for this board: http://wiki.stm32duino.com/index.php?title=Vcc-gnd.com_STM32F407VET6_Mini
A main difference respect to the Black F407VE variant is that this features a 25MHz crystal rather than an 8MHz one so one question is: where to configure this difference?

you could use the same variant, I've made it for Nucleo-x(-P).
Using the board switch to use the proper config: -DARDUINO_{build.board}
Example:
