To give you some context for the upcoming year, we established these high-level goals for 2020, and we wanted to take a look back at the first part of the year. We’ve made some excellent progress!

We will be closing the collection of blog posts on **October 5th**. As a reminder, we plan to close the [survey](https://blog.rust-lang.org/2020/09/10/survey-launch.html) on **September 24th**, later this week.

If you haven't written a post yet, read the [initial announcement](https://blog.rust-lang.org/2020/09/03/Planning-2021-Roadmap.html).

Looking forward, we are expecting the following:

* Roadmap RFC proposed by mid-November
* Roadmap RFC merged by mid-December
