can't add ems, or eps images

@PronghornParrot can you say a little more about your use case for inserting metafile images? I had considered adding that when developing the image sub-package but couldn't think of any real-life scenarios in which I would use it; so any insight you can provide will be helpful in understanding how it will be used.

I create plots of laboratory measurement data, sometimes in svg file format so that I can zoom way in on various data points, and generally have a nice high res plot. I like to convert these images into eps, or emf files and insert them into MS documents, for the ability to zoom infinitely for people I distribute the docs to, or for myself later on down the road.

How do you produce the files? I'll need a set to test with, three should be plenty.

Hi,

I've attached an example of each format, and a simple script to generate an svg.

I then use inkscape to save the svg as an eps, and to generate the emf, I copy the image from inkscape, paste into visio, and use visio to save as emf.

(Inkscape can save as emf, but is does so as raster instead of vector graphics.)
