feature: pgNum field

there are a couple of places that i notice that pgnum field is available.
for example -

Has this been implemented yet ? if not then how can I contribute towards implementing it ?

What is the capability you're after? I'm not sure the XML element you mention is what you think it is.

In any case, where it shows up is in an analysis document, inside a schema excerpt; it doesn't reflect any currently implemented feature.

Sorry for the delayed response. The feature that I am after is trying to create a new document (which mostly like will be based on a empty template that I create adding a lot of styles that might be useful), I could do with the ability to turn page numbering on and off for certain pages as in the page numbering is consistent throughout but the numbers themselves are visible or hidden based on code.

Ok, that gives me a clearer view.

I believe you're going to need a distinct section in the document for each transition between showing and not showing the page number. Then the footer or header in each section will either have a page number or not, depending. I don't know of any way to turn it on and off within the same section.

The bad news is this functionality you want depends on both the pgNum field capability as well as header/footer capability. There's been some work on header/footers by prospective contributors but nothing working yet as far as I know.

I'll re-open this issue as a feature request for adding the pgNum field.
