Description
Issues I've run into using updatemenus admittedly not quite what it was designed for:
- It only allows six options. If it receives more than six options, the menu disappears entirely without any error. I'd expect either a scrolling dropdown or at least an error/truncation.
- Even when collapsed, the menu takes up extra vertical space. I don't see a reason why a collapsed menu should take up any extra space. I'd expect it to simply overlay the plot when expanded. See live example or screenshot below:
