i think it would be cool that if no connection details have been provided but one is in the root of a popular framework supporting PHPCR (f.e. Symfony2) that phpcr shell would attempt to load the relevant configuration from the framework config somehow.

I am thinking maybe of having profiles. You would

• Run phpcr with no arguments
• It would then check to see if a profile exists for the current CWD
• If none exists it would:
  • check to see if it could determine anything useful from the current context (e.g. apps/config/parameters.yml, config.yml, etc.)
  • prompt the user for the connection details, using any auto-discovered values as default

profiles are now merged, so closing this. we could introduce some sort of connection detection but it would be a maintainance problem, so I prefer the profiles for now.
