Description
.transform
does not appear to be respecting the axis argument of the groupby in the combine stage. The code below yields:
ValueError: Length mismatch: Expected axis has 4 elements, new values have 5 elements
#### Code Sample, a copy-pastable example if possible
import pandas as pd
df = pd.DataFrame(pd.np.arange(20).reshape(4,5))
df.groupby(lambda x: x <= 3, axis=1).transform(lambda x: x)
#### Expected Output
0 1 2 3 4
0 0 1 2 3 4
1 5 6 7 8 9
2 10 11 12 13 14
3 15 16 17 18 19
#### output of ``pd.show_versions()``
