One site or two

Comments from Dan Katz, thinking about a place to track OMF history, and possible outcomes of breakouts and discussions today means that we need to soon make a call about whether to make the GitHub site a specialized collaboration platform and maintain an expanded WordPress or other web presence. Or whether we want to do it all with GitHub. While one site may be easier to maintain than two, deciding this should also involve what we can do with the GitHub site for aesthetics, usability, presentation of information and documents, general and restricted access, etc.

We've decided to keep this site as a place to evolve the standards, and once the v1.0 of the standards has been approved they will be formally published on https://www.openmodelingfoundation.org and given permanent URLs (DOIs?)

Preserving history is a separate concern, and we need someone to be responsible for summarizing, aggregating and in general making coherent the chaotic pile of activity that stems from these workshops. This is no small feat... the current about page is quite sparse and doesn't capture a lot of relevant discussion and context e.g., #150

I'm going to close this for now, as we are starting to balloon with issues, and this particular one seems resolved - we'll be maintaining two sites, with active development going into GitHub, and final results published to the OMF wordpress site.
