This PR does two things:

  1. Add semicolons to README.md in order to match original code (similarly to Fix typo #177)
  2. Remove the "." after the "Initial commit" to match common style guides for commit messages and this own projects initial commit messages

Commit message headlines should not be ended with periods, according
to many guidelines such as https://chris.beams.io/posts/git-commit/#end
and thus it should not be recommended in this README. This project's
initial commit message headlines don't end with a period either.
