Fee estimates for on-chain tx are much higher than actual fee in transaction list

The fee estimate in the send on-chain confirmation screen were over 3 EUR while the actual fee was around 0.80 EUR. Both had target_conf=6. Perhaps the fee estimation apis data is off?

I'm not sure of the root cause here, it might help if you could see a raw request and raw response from the API that is driving this UI

I think the model should move to either something like this lightningnetwork/lnd#2976 or to a model where coin selection can be recommended separately to accurately model the future fee

I believe the api for fee estimation is alright, it's at par with bitcoin core (I checked against my node). It's just that at the moment the daily btc fees are high due to network congestion / "fee market" actualization.

Because on the app there's currently no way to set the fees, they could skyrocket pretty high (even past these numbers if the network is clogged).

It could probably be wise to cap them to a dollar value as hotfix or for a proper "feature" based fix we should probably introduce a new screen before opening a channel (btc tx).

I think we should make the user land on a screen to let him/her confirm (and optionally modify) the fee to be paid to open the channel.
