Hi,I need this functions `

1. Kill pod by name
2. Change deployments pod's count(Add or delete)
3. Restart all pods in deployment

I tried to find it in examples, in files....but can't find enough information

Have a look at examples/typescript/simple for the plumbing required to instantiate a client and call a method. From there, I think the operations you are looking for are:

1. deleteNamespacedPod
2. patchNamespacedDeployment or replaceNamespacedDeployment
3. Not sure - I don't know if restarting pods is possible via the API - from what I've seen the idea would normally be to delete the pods and let the deployment's ReplicaSet recreate them.

Thank you.Can you provide example of using patchNamespacedDeployment or replaceNamespacedDeployment?What parameters must pass beside demploymentName Namespce I need data example?

For a replace you would get the current deployment object via a listNamespacedDeployments or readNamespacedDeployment, modify that object, and send that in the replace, e.g.:

// NOT TESTED
let readResult = await client.readNamespacedDeployment("foo", "default");
let deployment = readResult.body;
deployment.spec.replicas = 5;
const replaceResult = await client.replaceNamespacedDeployment("foo", "default", deployment);

For a patch, I believe you need to create an object containing just the field you want to change, in this case spec.replicas, and send that e.g.

// NOT TESTED
const patch: any = { spec: { replicas: 5 } };
const result = await client.patchNamespacedDeployment("foo", "default", patch);
const response = result.response;  // can check for errors etc.
const newState = result.body;  // contains the updated Deployment

Let me know if that doesn't work and I can do some more digging.

Why I cant use await?Using this client const k8sApi = kc.makeApiClient(k8s.Apps_v1beta1Api); is that normal?

Also class Apps_v1beta1Api dons't contain function of deleting namespaced pod,what class contains deleting and replaceNamespacedDeployment functions ?
What deference btw patchDeployment and `replaceDeployment' besides getting info from cluster?

If you can't use await, then you may be using an older version of JavaScript. Use the traditional Promise .then() syntax instead (client.xxx(...).then((result, err) => ...);).

Yes, makeApiClient is a normal way to create a client. See the examples directory e.g. https://github.com/kubernetes-client/javascript/blob/master/examples/example.js or the example code in the README e.g. https://github.com/kubernetes-client/javascript#example-code. However you might need to use k8s.Core_V1Api instead of k8s.Apps_v1beta1Api.

The difference between patch and replace is the handling of missing fields - patch modifies only the fields included in the request body (and so you supply only the fields you want to change) but replace overwrites all fields (so you need to supply a full Deployment object).

At first await now working, your example of partchNamespacedDeployment returning this error message: '415: Unsupported Media Type' and ,can you please provide example of deleteNamespacedPod bcs can't find needed argument information and also example of patchName...Deployment ?
Where I can find information about required parameters ?Is python and js data the same ?
