Updated March 29, 2023
Updated June 12, 2023

Our attendees’ health and safety remain our top priority as we
continue to monitor COVID-19 and look to local, CDC and WHO guidelines
to make the best and most informed decisions around onsite safety and
requirements.

Our community’s well-being is extremely important to us, and
creating a safe, worry-free event is our top priority. We will
adjust our health and safety protocols as needed while updating this
page with information about plans for our attendees onsite. We
continue to look to local municipality guidelines to make the best
and most informed decisions around onsite safety and requirements.{" "}

All in-person attendance requirements are subject to change based
on local guidelines.

In-Person Attendance Requirements

Masks

Masks are recommended, but not required, to be worn at the event.

Measures

COVID-19

Masks are recommended, but not required, to attend this event. There
are no vaccine or testing requirements to attend this event. These are
both subject to change based on local municipality requirements and
any changes in COVID-19.

Vaccine Or Negative Covid-19 Test Requirement

At this time, proof of vaccine or a negative COVID test is NOT
required to attend the event in person.
We encourage high-risk individuals, and those with family or
colleagues who are at a higher risk of getting COVID-19, to consider
wearing a high-quality mask recommended by health agencies. We also
ask that you respect those around you who choose to wear a mask. A
limited number of masks will be available upon request at Registration
onsite.

Vaccines

All in-person attendance requirements are subject to change based on
local guidelines. Registered attendees will be notified 1 month prior
to the event of any updates to our mask mandate and other on-site
health & safety requirements.
We encourage flu shots, COVID-19 vaccination and boosters to reduce
the threat of illness.

Onsite Health & Safety Measures

Please expect the following measures to be in place at the event.

Event signage indicating required health and safety protocols

Onsite cleaning and sanitizing of all touch points

Sanitized microphones between each speaker’s use

Onsite Personal Protection

If you feel ill while at the event, please take a COVID-19 self-test
and isolate as needed.

Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the event
venue.

Plentiful sanitation stations onsite and personal hand sanitizer
bottles and wipes available for participants
A limited supply of face masks will be available upon request at
Registration.

Wearable Indicators of Social Distance Comfort Levels — We will
provide a wearable indicator of social distance comfort levels for
event participants to wear onsite (optional but encouraged).
Participants are asked to be respectful of each other’s comfort
level on social distance.
We respectfully remind all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff
to:

Stay home if you experience any cold or flu-like symptoms.

Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.

Stay healthy! Engage in responsible health practices such as
avoiding touching eyes/nose/mouth with unwashed hands.

The Linux Foundation does not allow firearms or other weapons,
regardless of whether they are permitted or not, or whether they are
concealed or not, to be brought into our events. By registering for
the event, you are agreeing that you understand this policy and will
not bring a firearm or other weapons into the event.
We’ll be providing a wearable indicator that shows your comfort
level with social distancing. While it's optional to wear, we highly
encourage participants to use it.

Food Allergies

At a minimum, we will be following all mandated venue, municipality,
and CDC guidelines. This list, and all protocols, are subject to
change should there be a change if local municipality and health
agency guidelines indicate or require that they should change. We will
do everything we can to provide any updates as early as possible.

The United States COVID-Related Entry Requirements

What should I do if I am onsite and not feeling well?

If you aren’t feeling well, please watch for COVID-19 symptoms.
Depending on your symptoms and how unwell you feel, please take an
at-home COVID test (we highly recommend traveling with your own tests)
or go to the nearest testing facility, urgent care, or hospital.

If you have chest pain or shortness of breath, we advise you to call
911 or go directly to the Emergency Room.
The Linux Foundation believes it’s essential to prioritize the safety
and well-being of all attendees, including those with food allergies.
