How did you install golangci-lint?
go install
Description of the problem
The output of version
is printing the version differently between installs with go install
and prebuilts.
From go install
there is a v
before the version, with prebuilts that is missing. In v1 the v
used to be there for everything ? Or at least the script to test if you are using the correct golangci-lint version was checking it with v
.
Version of golangci-lint
go install one:
$ golangci-lint --version
golangci-lint has version v2.1.6 built with go1.24.3 from (unknown, modified: ?, mod sum: "h1:LXqShFfAGM5BDzEOWD2SL1IzJAgUOqES/HRBsfKjI+w=") on (unknown)
from release page:
$ golangci-lint --version
golangci-lint has version 2.1.6 built with go1.24.2 from eabc2638 on 2025-05-04T15:41:19Z
