As done in elastic/elasticsearch-dsl-py#1674 and tested in elastic/elasticsearch-dsl-py#1676 (I had to add an empty commit to run GitHub Actions CI, but the problem already exists today).

Not sure how often we'll need this, since serverless clients will be doing semver that doesn't track ES stack versioning, but can't hurt to have it if we need it.

Thanks for the hint. I really hesitated a lot: merging brings this client closer to elasticsearch-py, but you're right that we won't need it. Still merging as you approved.
