Description of the feature request

Problem statement
At the moment we have some resources like dummy events that are referenced in examples and tests across modules.

This complicates the project structure and makes it harder to reason about & work in isolation.

This issue aims at capturing the unit of work needed to propose a solution to this as discussed here.
