How can I call AWSXRay.capturePostgres()?

My goal is to trace PostreSQL queries in my lambda function using the @aws-lambda-powertools/tracer package.

I've seen in the tracer's documentation that I can access the original X-Ray SDK via tracer.provider. Using this mechanism I tried to capture the SQL client as described here using the capturePostgres() method.

However, when I try that my editor's intellisense reports there is no tracer.provider.capturePostgres() method. Maybe this is an typing issue or am I missing something here?

Can you please advise how we can trace our SQL queries?
