Since the migration from SMF to Discourse forum platforms, Markdown is the primary markup language for Arduino Forum. The project infrastructure provides high quality validation of Markdown. The alternative markup language BBCode should be used only in the rare cases where equivalent capability is not provided by Markdown (which includes an HTML subset).
