Preference getting restored every time when i open IDE or select a new board option in window 10

Preferences option getting restored to default settings when i open/restart IDE or select a new board. Autocomplete function is disabled automatically every time. board selection too gets restored sometimes.

There are several other reports about specific symptoms of this bug with the preferences not being preserved:

I have been frustrated by it myself.

board selection too gets restored sometimes

Prior to the 2.0.0-beta.5 release, the board selection was never remembered (#95), but that was fixed before the time of your report.

@forvishnu are you still having this problem with the board selection when you use the latest release of Arduino IDE 2.x? If so, can you provide some additional information? It would be ideal if you could write some detailed instructions we can follow to reproduce the issue.
