We have determined that it is not feasible for Arduino to take on the responsibility of maintaining a package. The creation and maintenance of such a package would need to be undertaken by the community.

We recommend that you use the official distribution of Arduino IDE, which can be downloaded from the "Software" page of the arduino.cc website:

https://www.arduino.cc/en/software

Arduino IDE has a self update capability, so it is not necessary to use a package manager to keep it updated.
