Make Serial Monitor autoscroll configurable for each axis

For some reason the serial terminal scrolls in both X and Y direction, I would love a drop-down to configure it to scroll only in Y, X or both, currently it's rather annoying to use.

You mean that when using the mouse scroll wheel it affects both axes? If that's the case, scrolling in both directions is almost certainly a bug.

I don't believe a dropdown for selecting which axis should be scrolled is necessary though, holding Shift while scrolling should suffice to use horizontal scroll instead of vertical.

Or do you mean that you'd like an option to disable horizontal scrolling and use word wrap instead?

Edit: There's no way to natively scroll both at the same time though AFAIK (unless you've got a mouse with horizontal scrolling features)

Almost, word wrap would be nice but that too only as an option.

I don't remember this behaviour existing in previous versions, has it always been like this (I don't remember autoscroll working this way before)?
