Reset scroll position on route change?

Question- Is there something built in for remembering (and resetting) the scroll position after a route change?

Example- If you had a list view and each item would open a new route for a detail view. This detail view would contain a back button and after clicking it, you would return to the list view with the proper scroll position set. Also, is there a way to know if the route change was caused by the browser's back button?

I could perform the scroll w/ jQuery, but wasn't sure if it was built in. Thanks!

as of 0.10.6, if you use ng:view, the scroll position will be reset to the top (or an element who's id matches the current url hash). check out $anchoScroll. as far as navigating back, the view will be reset according to the same rules - the scroll position is not being remembered.
