weather layer seems to be gone from google maps

The WeatherLayer which was in google.map.weather.WeatherLayer seems to be gone. It is no longer working in the main example. It also failed on the documentations example. We should update docs and or figure out how to correctly load it.

The demo is referenced from 2.1.X branch. Should I remove the weather layer from the demo on that branch only?

Do you have a link to what your referring to? I think fixing 2.2.X branch only is fine. Also I am not quite sure the WeatherLayer is gone. Can anyone from google confirm this?
