Map control not shown on device

I'm using ionic and in the desktop browser the custom control is shown. Once I try to open it on my iphone, the custom control is not shown.

Is there something I should know?

Is there an update on this?

I have tried on my iphone and my ipad as well as in the simulator.

I found that adding it manually works:
