@mgreenegit PowerShell Gallery is a NuGet-based repository, that's why PowerShellGet creates the .nupkg with .nuspec file. It is possible to hide the .nuspec file in the 'FileList' UI.

Can you please point me to information about how to control which files are visible in the File List?

Sorry, I meant it is possible to fix the PSGallery UI to not display the .nuspec file.

This might be happening because I published from PowerShell Core on Debian so NuGet.exe is called rather than the .NET dll. NuGet.exe does include the file. Most packages in the gallery do not include the nuspec manifest but just taking a cursory view, those that are associated with Linux tend to.
