adding some extensions to base images

Hello, crunchy team!

I wonder is there a working feature request mechanism for adding extensions to base postgres images, provided with pgo?

Our team currently in a process of migration around 260 postgres dbs from VM-based to K8s-based with a help from crunchydata postgres-operator.
This move looks promising, but we are currently stuck on some missing extensions in a base package, extensions are:

pg_qualstats, hypopg, powa, pg_stat_kcache

Considering this recently merged PR (CrunchyData/crunchy-containers@2c9b7e7) - extensions can be added, but what is a process of requesting that?

I've looked at https://github.com/CrunchyData/crunchy-containers repo, and building process seems kinda complicated, but if there is no other way - i will try to replicate building process on my side with a slight variations to Dockerfiles.

Thanks for reaching out about needing some extensions.

We do not have any immediate plans for adding those extensions at this time and do not have an approved set of instructions for adding them at the moment. In the meantime, I have captured a story in our backlog for adding these extensions in a future release and/or update. And I'm going to leave this issue open so that others can chime in with their use-cases for these extensions.

Hello, I have seen some issues regarding the mechanism of adding extensions to the base image and most cite issue #2016 which has since been removed, anyone that still has knowledge of how to add an extension to the postgres base image?
