e2e: Cypress v6+ ?

Heyo! Was wondering if using vue/cli-plugin-e2e-cypress we can somehow force update cypress to v6, since v3 is currently in there?
I see that in vue/cli-plugin-e2e-cypress v5 alpha, Cypress will be updated to v6. Is there an approx. date when v5 should be ready?

Currently in our CI we are manually downloading Cypress 6 additionally as a dev dependency, which increases "unzipping" time drastically (~3-4 minutes). Does this have any impact in v5 perhaps too?
