Agent Evolution : Master GitHub Copilot Agent Mode #158675

Agent mode is a great feature, but unfortunately, in Thai, the experience is lacking. In VS Code's Copilot, there are no specific instructions for the Thai language, which means the answers often don't fit user needs. On the bright side, when fixing code in English, it works quite well. However, sometimes the AI gets stuck in a loop, leading people to use the phrase "AI Slop" to describe it. As part of my experiment with the CURL project (discussed here: Hacker News), I observed that the AI's conclusions can be inaccurate and overly verbose. Thanks to the CURL community and maintainers for being part of this experiment. While AI shows promise, it still has significant room for improvement. For example, I used GPT-4.0 to create a vulnerability report, and the results highlighted the AI's current limitations. I hope this step of Agent mode will mark the beginning of a new era where even kids can use AI to find vulnerabilities ethically, and communities like CURL won't need to dismiss poorly generated reports. It's a long journey ahead. I chose CURL for this experiment because it's one of the highest-quality open-source projects, alongside OpenSSL. If AI can meet their standards without wasting their valuable time, it would represent a significant evolution. Agent mode is just the beginning. Someday, when we unlock the puzzle of consciousness, the real revolution will start. My biggest challenge is creating synthetic consciousness. I hope Copilot's Agent mode won't misuse this concept. OpenAI's "Monday Model" joke response was an example of how this could go wrong. Who knows? While AI can be dangerous, it also holds immense potential for good. As with nature, there is always duality—good and bad. Without bad, we wouldn't appreciate good. Without AI slop, we wouldn't recognize the greatness of advanced AI. Best regards, |
