Determine an error that caused the app to crash vs a silent error

I've been trying to determine which sentry error actually caused the app to crash vs silent errors.

I tried adding this:

<Sentry.ErrorBoundary
  fallback={() => <AppError />}
  beforeCapture={(scope, error) => {
    scope.setLevel(Severity.Fatal);
    scope.setTag("errorBoundary", true);  
  }}
>

But the errors are still being logged with a level: error instead of fatal
