npx create-react-app isnt working

hey there,
i am sure this (or something similar) was asked a lot of times before, but npx create-react-app my-app isnt working on my machine. I use windows, and i run the command on bash. version of node.js im using is v14.16.0, and npm version is 6.14.11.
im attaching the screenshot of what i got when i run that command.
(also i didnt create an issue because something like this has probably been asked before but its just i couldnt find)

This error is caused by having a space in your username (i.e. the name of your machine). The solution to this is to open your command prompt and run cd C:\Users. Once you are in C:\Users, type dir /x and you should see something like this.

c:\Users>dir /x
 Volume in drive C has no label.
 Volume Serial Number is 4***-***7

 Directory of c:\Users

03/15/2021  10:40 PM    <DIR>                    .
03/15/2021  10:40 PM    <DIR>                    ..
03/29/2021  10:00 AM    <DIR>      USERNA~1      user name
03/15/2021  10:39 PM    <DIR>                    Public

               4 Dir(s)  110,947,942,400 bytes free

Copy your short name i.e. USERNA~1 (in your case it would be different). Now run npm config set cache "C:/Users/<your-shortname-goes-here>/AppData/Roaming/npm-cache" --global command. This might look something like npm config set cache "C:/Users/USERNA~1/AppData/Roaming/npm-cache" --global, for above example .

Final step, run npx create-react-app my-app and that's it.
