Bluetooth and ELM327 connection failing

Hey, can someone help me a bit with some bluetooth related stuff?
I've been trying to use BluetoothSerial.h and Elmduino.h for days with no success on what i actually need.
I was able to connect the ESP to my tablet via BT and send stuff via serial from and to the ESP, that was fine. However, when i moved to my main objective, it all fell apart, since i can't by any means make this damn microcontroller connect to an ELM327 bluetooth dongle that connects perfectly fine with my phone
