Running an npm command for bootstrapping.

I'm currently using create-react-app and want to run my server before the tests run.

I'm not able to see any docs regarding this, but I know it would be happening in the bootstrap function. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

currently just have this for now

const { exec } = require("child_process");
{...
  bootstrap: async () => {
    await exec("npm run dev");
  },
}

EDIT:
This doesn't seem to work as it opens a normal browser window, and the tests don't seem to begin.
